Advanced & Development Teams Welcome

The Next Level Basketball Year 7 – 8 Tournament delivers a structured, high quality, and competitive basketball experience for young athletes.

Whether entering as a school team, club team, or independent squad, this competition provides an ideal environment for players to compete, develop, and represent at a high standard.

Day: Thursday
Venue: Dilworth Junior Campus Gymnasium

Equioment & Game Ball

All games are played using a Size 6 FIBA approved basketball, aligning with recognised international standards.

Team Requirements

Players

• Minimum: 6 players
• Maximum: 10 players

Team Officials

Each team is required to provide:

• 1 Coach
• 1 Scorebench Assistant

The scorebench assistant supports game administration and ensures efficient match operations.

Compulsory Player Requirement

For safety and participation, all players must have:

Mouthguard (Compulsory)
Drink Bottle (Compulsory)

Players without a mouthguard may not be permitted to take the court.

Game Format

The tournament is designed to maximise playing time while maintaining structure and intensity.

Game Structure

4 Quarters
10-minute running clock per quarter
Professionally refereed games
Organised match scheduling

Match Schedule

Games are held weekly within a consistent time block:

First Game: 4:30 PM
Final Game: 7:30 PM

All teams will compete within this scheduled window each Thursday.

Divisions

To ensure appropriate competition levels:

A Grade: For advanced players and teams
B Grade: For development players and teams

This structure promotes both competitive balance and player development.

Championship Rewards

Teams compete for both recognition and tangible rewards.

Championship Team Reward: $500 credit toward the following term

In addition, championship teams receive:
